Acer Aspire 1 (A115-32-C96U) Short Review
Specifications - 15.6 Inch Full HD 60Hz LCD display with Acer BlueLightShield technology, Intel Celeron N4500 processor , 4 GB DDR4 RAM, 128 GB eMMC storage, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, one HDMI port, one RJ-45 LAN port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm jack, HD Webcam.
Display - 15.6 Inch Full HD display with 60Hz refresh rate in a $200 laptop is a plus to get.
Processor - Intel Celeron N4500 processor is for low usage. Even medium usage will not be that good in this laptop. Best suited for light web browsing, media etc.
Graphics - Intel UHD iGPU is for display purposes. Even light gaming is not recommended.
RAM - A DDR4 SDRAM type is a plus in this model. 4 GB of RAM with these specs is sufficient.
Storage - An SSD storage type would have been better even with less storage space. 128 GB eMMC storage can be manageable. There is no memory card slot present in this model, which is a major con in 2024.
Battery - Acer claims about 9 Hours of battery life with a single full charge but we can expect around 6 hours of battery life in general usage.
Suited For - People who want an old model because of discounts, very less usage.
Not Suited For - Anyone who wants a performing laptop, who wants a Type C port, a memory card slot.
Conclusion
This is an old model and specs are somewhat outdated in 2024. Not having a memory card slot and Type C USB ports are drawbacks. If you don't mind those drawbacks and want a laptop for very less usage with big discounts, this laptop is for you.
